If you dont know who Paula Deen is, I suggest you get to know her. She is one firecracker of a woman and cook. She makes some of the best southern recipes I've ever seen, the ones that take you back to the days where you were standing on crates watching your Nana cook on a Sunday afternoon after church.

I love everything about Paula Deen, her recipes, her personality and her cookware line ,as seen in the photo above, which happens to be the one that I have.

Now only being married a year, I havent gone through millions of pots and pans, but to be honest, I dont think I will have to. I am tough on my pots and pans, and I dont always wash them the same night I use them. But they have been able to with stand the tough love I put them through.

If you havent used her cookware before and are worried about an expensive investment, worry no more, she has reasonable priced items, her entire cookware set is just a little over $100 and if you are worried about the husband getting made about that, go to Ross, buy one of her casserole dishes (for half the price) and make him her famous macaroni and cheese recipe and he will buy you the whole Paula Deen collection!

I guess I have pushed my luck too far. All the girls at my work have been sick, EVERY LAST ONE, but me. Until now, l had to cut our Valentine's early because I simply couldnt breathe. I thought maybe it had something to do with the fact that i completely quit smoking about a month ago YAY ME! But I woke up this morning congested, headache, body ache, and just feeling yucky. Lots of soup and oj and in my near future.

I have never been obsessed with looks or tight bodies, but for some reason once i saw

Black Swan, i have wanted to get tiny. For me, i looked good wearing a size 12 weighing in

at 145 lbs. Note the HUGE hips their...

i could weight 95 lbs and still wear a size 6, i get it from my momma haha.

In her interview she said it took her a little over a year to be fully ready for the role. I dont need all the dancing background, but to be slim and trim, ahhh love.

Like i said yesterday, D and I are doing the couch to 5k challenge, Hopefully by my goal of june 2012 and i will be slim slim slim

Today is D's birthday! WOOHOO!!!

I went ahead and gave him his gifts, (if you know me you know

i cant wait) he was so excited. he got some new dr.dre mini beats for bike riding

and a new wacom pen, the animals have eaten his headphones and his wacom pen,

so lets hope they will stay away from these. tonight i am making breakfast for dinner.

and then we will celebrate with his favorite, jello cake, thanks to his momma for the recipe, and also another special thanks to making his favorite cake the most simple cake ever, that i dont have to ice bc i am terrible at it!

On a skinner note, D and I have decided to run a 5k, whoa whoa say WHAT??!!!

well, we are doing the couch to 5k program, and we start, TONIGHT, after he gets home from work, OH BOY! My backside thanks you D!

Donnie has been riding his bike to work, YIKES!

Talk about giving me a heart attack, it is a whopping 7.5 miles

from here to Santa Monica, great for his health bad for my sanity.

i trust his judgement, but i dont trust the other dangerous drivers on the road.

but he has been making it there fine and in record time i might add ;)

i am going to go to the dollar store today and get some el-cheapo

birthday decorations and then i am going to clean up this apartment

Off the Grid

So I have been totally off the grid lately, but now I am back, hopefully for good. Life gets busy

and frankly this blogging world was starting to make my head explode.

D and I just got back from a wonderful 2 week visit with the fam.

All is well, and we were super happy to see them.

Now we are both back to the grid, and it is a bittersweet feeling.

D and I found ourselves in a bit of a crazy financial situation that

we weren't expecting, and I think it really opened my eyes and helped me grow.

Yesterday we spent the morning at the grocery store really BUDGETING for food, we had coupons out the yin yang and we bough store brand EVERYTHING *i would have NEVER done that before*

It was very nice working together to save money, it was actually one of the most enjoyable grocery store trips i have had with D since we got married.

If anyone had tips on where we can get coupons online, it would be greatly appreciated.

Honeymoon!!!!!

Only 10 months late, but Donnie and I are leaving tomorrow for our honeymoon.
A weekend in San Francisco. I am so excited.
It is going to be so great to get out of los angeles and
away from all the stupid crap going on right now.
It is going to be a quick weekend. We are leaving at 4am tomorrow and driving up.
Nice ride up the coast though, so it should be fun.
Who could complain while driving up the coast looking at the beach :)
Saturday night we will be attending the Rufus Wainwright concert accompanied by an orchestra.
Sunday we will be hitting all the tourist-y stuff, definitely by the Full House 'house'
the gorgeous bridge and we cant leave without a trolley ride.
Mainly I am just glad to be getting away with my sweetie pie Donnie, although I will miss the pup and kitty!

I havent been on this blog in a while, so i probably need to update everything.
The last few months have been great here in our new apartment, we are loving all of the space and we love being in the downtown area close to good local restaurants and shops.
Tiggy also loves the new place, we recently got her a playmate, our new kitten Ringo. She is so sweet and having her has fixed all of Tiggys separation anxiety problems.
Hannah was just out here for 9 days visiting ( Hannah is my little sister).
It was so great to have her here and explore Los Angeles together.
I hated to see her go, but hopefully she will be back soon.
Donnie's parents are coming to visit for Thanksgiving, I am so excited, it will be nice to have a nice family dinner since we dont get to go back east for the holidays.
I am still working at Janie and Jack and still loving it.
Working in baby retail is the funnest job ever, i love seeing all the kids and pregnant women come in and help them pick out adorable outfits for their little ones.
Donnie and i are going to San Francisco in a few weeks. I am so excited.
We are going for a Rufus Wainwright concert with a symphony orchestra, it is going to be amazing.

It has been a while since i have posted but i am so disturbed by what i witnessed tonight that i felt the need to share.
Donnie and I were at the grocery store tonight and we sat in the car for a few minutes before going in so we could talk about what kind of things we wanted to buy(i had forgotten the list at home) we then saw a women walking out screaming at her little boy (no more than 3 yrs old) who was sitting in the grocery cart. She was yelling at him about ice cream and something, he wasnt saying a word and then out of no where she flips her hand back and hits him so hard on the arm it was ridiculous. The poor boy of course starting crying, and loud. She continued to yell and even cussed at him, tell him that he was getting on her nerves! RIDICULOUS! I wanted to jump out of the car and knock the idiotic woman out and take that poor boy away from her. Yes kids are hard, im sure, and im sure they can get on your nerves, but if you are so high strung that you HIT your poor defenseless child i have ZERO respect for you as a parent and i honestly think you should have your mouth to the curb.
I am 23 years old and i have yet to see something that horrifying in my life.
People who read this that have kids, give them an extra hug tonight.

My Darling Dog

I would like for all of you to meet Tiggy.
This tiny little 12 pounder who came into our lives about 2 months ago.
Tiggy is the most cuddly dog I have ever met.
She is definitely a Mommy's girl and she isn't afraid to show it.
I found Tiggy on craigslist by accident. My husband and I had thrown around the idea of getting a dog, but living in a small studio apartment that we BARELY fit in we were a little skeptical. I was actually looking for a bigger, better apartment, you know one where my bed isn't within arms distance to the kitchen.
But who can really go on craigslist and not look at all the adorable puppies??? I know I can't.
I am notorious for looking at my husband with a pouty face and saying "I want one....but look how cute it is!!!"
Donnie's answer was always no, he knows I would come home with the whole pound if we had the room! Once I ran across Tiggy's add I immediatly fell in love, sent the link to Donnie and I was surprisingly replied with ''I want that dog!"
I called the owner and told her I wanted to meet Tiggy as soon as possible!!! About four hours passed by and I got a call back!!! I was so happy, one step closer to getting that sweet little furball!!! Marisa (Tiggy's former owner) informed me that Tiggy was a very skiddish dog. Marisa had found Tiggy on the side of the road in Arizona while on roadtrip and picked her up. Tiggy showed signs of being abused and was not comfortable at all around men.
Marisa belives that her previous owners were bad to her and threw her out :(
I went and met Tiggy the next day, she barked of course when I came to the door, but after a few minutes she was jumping on the couch wanting me to pet her. Marisa was amazed at how quickly Tiggy connected with me. I was so happy.
We brought Tiggy home just a few days before Easter and she has adjusted well.
She loves to be rocked like a baby while you scratch her belly, it is the cutest thing ever!!!
She loves Donnie to death, she is always coming up cuddling with him.
She likes to root herself right in between Donnie and myself while we sleep, unless she is completly stealing my pillow ;)
She has definitely made our lives brighter!

My Baby Sister is all Grown Up!!

In one week Donnie and I are going back to Virginia to see my baby sister Hannah walk across the stage for her high school graduation!
I am so proud of her. I can't believe she is getting ready for college already!
I got her graduation announcement in the mail the other day, I just cried I was so happy and her senior picture is absolutely GORGEOUS!
I still see that innocent little girl when I look at Hannah, sucking her thumb and carrying around
her many stuffed animals.
Hannah is my best friend and it kills me that it has been 6 months since I have
seen her. I am so excited to hang out with her again, even if it just
for a few days!

I love you Hannah Nanna and I am so proud of you!!!

60 Miles in June

I will be the first to admit I am the crankiest person you will ever meet if it is before 8:30am.
Poor Donnie has to hear me grunt my way out of bed to take him to work in the mornings. Donnie happens to be very energetic by the time he wakes me and well,
I don't mix well with that. I need my time to wake up,stretch, realize that I will soon have to depart with my comfy bed, warm sheets, and perfectly cool pillow.
I have a timer on my coffee pot and I need to start setting that up every night.
That way I can wake up super early and go for my morning jog!

Nike Plus

Donnie and I both got the Nike Plus wristband tonight.
We are really excited about it so we can track how much we are walking and
calories burned why we reach our goal for 60lbs down by December!
I can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

Let's Get it Started

Day one of getting my body under control.
I recently joined a weight loss support group online, dailymile.com.
It is a great place for encouragement and a place to track your workouts everyday.
I have definitely reached the heaviest I have been in my life and it is time for a major turn around. I know I will feel better physically and mentally if I get into shape.

Donnie and I had a great walk this evening with Tiggy. I am going to enjoy making evening walks a daily routine.
If you haven't tried Bolthouse Farms smoothies I definitely encourage it. They are organic and a great source of fruits and veggies. Green Goodness may look nasty but it is very fruity and delicious! I am going to track my progress on my blog, my goal is to lose 60lbs by mine and Donnie's wedding anniversary in December. Size 10 here I come!

Oil Spill in the Gulf

I am sure all of you have heard by now of the terrible oil spill that is continuously pouring into the Gulf. Hundreds of families have lost there income due to fishermen not being able to fish. Hundreds of animals have died due to the polluted water and the plant life has been completely destroyed. It is a hard thing for me to grasp that at this moment hundreds of gallons of oil are being pumped into the ocean.
I am big on animal rights, saving the planet and I have a big love for marine life so this is absolutely breaking my heart.
I really want to do my part to help get this huge mess cleaned up. Thankfully i came across the video blow, please take a moment and watch it...
This video has inspired me, something as little as getting your haircut can go towards
cleaning up this unfortunate disaster. I encourage all of my readers to consider doing this, its a small price for such a big cause. Hair grows back but our ecosystem may not.

Another week of sickness. I tell you, living a place that has great weather year-round I wouldn't think I would get sick this much. But since I have moved here I have been sick more time then when I lived in Virginia where winter last almost 6 months.
Thankfully my sweet husband has been taking care of me and I have this week off.
In other news, life is going great out here. Donnie had an interview this past Friday and we are very hopeful.
Also we are going home in 3 weeks, I cant wait to see everyone. This is the longest I have ever been away from my family. I have adjusted better than I thought I would.
I know his isnt a move that I could have made on my own and Donnie has been so considerate
these past few months while I have gotten somewhat used to the fact that Mom and Dad are no longer just a few rooms away.
I am so grateful for him.

It has been a while since my last post, things have been busy here.
Donnie and I received our tax refund and we decided it was time to upgrade
our futon that we have been sleeping on for the last 4 months to a comfortable bed
with an actual mattress! I have to tell you my nights have been going more smoothly and
getting up in the morning is not such a drag, although I would love to stay snuggled up with Donnie all morning.
Donnie and I bought our plane tickets to go home for Hannah( my little sister's) high school graduation. I am so excited to see my family and FINALLY meet my nephew Lucas who was born back in February.
Tonight Donnie is bring home dinner and we are just going to have a quiet evening at home, watch a movie and eat some popcorn.
I hope all you readers can take a day this week and just spend time with your husband,boyfriend, or kids and just relax. Until next time...

Great Books and Great Cooks

I found a great book last night at Target when Donnie and I went out last night. Such a Pretty Fat by Jen Lancaster. She has written a few other books but the titles have some choice words that I'd rather not repeat =/
But this book has been good so far, definitely some inspiration to get off my rump and shed some unwanted baggage from my backside. =]

I also found Giada's DVDs on sale, how ironic, buy a book on losing weight and buying DVDs on delicious food, haha. But at least she doesnt cook like Paula Deen, whom i LOVE.
But I am excited to try some of Giada's dishes. Donnie isnt so much a fan of Giada, but Im sure he will reconsider once i make some good Italian food =]

I am anxiously waiting for my screen printing kit and huge shipment of clothes to get here.
I assume they will both be here by wednesday and i can start working on getting my first line made no later than the weekend. My sister in law Marlie is being such a big help on spreading the word of Three Little Birds for us. You can locate her blog by the button on the left side of my page (Southern Family). Right now she is doing a 'giveaway' of a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Check out her blog to find out how. She is also going to be doing a give away of a baby onesie made by my company Three Little Birds, for all you mom's out there :D

Well we have the logo done, ordered out screen printing kit and we are well on our way to getting 'Three Little Birds' up and running! I am so excited to get the first batch of baby onesies out! It is great having a 1 month old nephew and 3 year old niece to be my official clothing testers =D I am so excited about our home business and I think with hard work we can really do well! Say hello to our new pup Tiggy, we got this swet baby girl on Friday and she has been such a joy! She has lots of energy but also loves to snuggle up on the couch with Donnie and I :D

She is very good on walks and loves exploring with us. She is completely house broken and doesnt bark except when someone comes to the door and when she is playing outside.

We love having her and it is amazing how much she has bonded with us in such a short amount of time. I will post more pictures soon :D

Lazy Weekend

Donnie and I had a great weekend. We just lazed around watching movies. We watched The Parent Trap, one of my favorite movies when i was little!
Its so fun to watch movies from our childhood!
Today has been a day of catching up on cleaning.
I washed all of our bedding since we have been sick all this week.
So hopefully with that clean we can completely over this sick feeling.
we are having friends over this weekend for an Easter dinner.
We are really excited, we are having a potluck dinner and some fun activities.
Well, the laundry is beeping, time to put in a new load ;D

Well Donnie and i have both been sick this week. Congestion, coughing, fever, you name it. i think we are over the worst of it now though :D

Today makes it 3 months that Donnie and I have been married :)

Time is flying by and tomorrow Lucas will be a month old.

Donnie and I are anxious to come home and see everyone.

We miss everyone so much!

It has been a few days since my last blog, but our internet has not been letting me log on so, time to do some catching up.
Donnie got a call from his friend Frank the other day to hang out since they haven't seen each other since our wedding and wanted to catch up.
When we met up with Frank we went to a great restaurant called
'Tender Greens"

It was very good and had a great selection of
healthy food such as, salads, soups and sandwiches.

I got the chinese chicken salad and Donnie got a steak flat bread sandwich.
It is definitely a place we will visit again and take friends to.

New Nephew

Mine and Donnie's beautiful nephew was born on Feb 27 at 1:32am weighing 7 lbs 11 oz.

He couldn't be any more perfect. Donnie and I are so excited for Marlie and Adrian and Summer! Unfortunately we weren't able to be in Rock Hill for his arrival but hopefully we will make it home soon to see him, we can't wait!

but i did spend the entire day cleaning and doing laundry, and i have to say you couldnt find a piece of dirt on this floor if you tried! Its nice to have all the laundry done. Im planning our menu for dinner tonight. Im thinking chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and either green beans or broccoli. Im ready for Donnie to get home from work, maybe we will have a movie night tonight =]

We are officially a two income household. I got the job as Janie and Jack and i start next week! I am so excited and i cant wait to start. It is definitely going to be nice to have some extra money coming in. I love that I will be able to have a fresh look at new styles for my niece and nephew!

We just got back from our 4 day cruise to Ensenada Baja California courtesy of Donnie's work. We had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed relaxing. Every morning we woke up to watch the sun rise on the ocean. It was beautiful! Here are some pictures of our trip.

Weekend in the Sun

The weekend is almost here. Donnie and I leave Friday for a 4 day cruise to Mexico with his work. I am so excited to be getting a mini vacation with him. We definitely could use some relaxing time together. It feels like we have spent every night since we got here cleaning and unpacking and going to target to get more stuff. We are both looking forward to the long weekend. I also had my interview today and i should here back at the beginning of next week to know if i got the job or not. Hopefully i will be employed by next week. Tomorrow Donnie and i have to go shopping again....and do our wedding thank you notes...today is officially one month into our marriage =] One month down and many many more to go!

Job Hunting

Its been a hard few weeks while trying to find a job. I have put in numerous applications, but gotten no call backs. I was getting very discouraged. Saturday even while Donnie and I were out celebrating our one month in Manhattan Beach we decided to walk around a mall we happen to come upon while waiting for the line to go down at olive garden. We happen to go into an adorable baby boutique which is hiring. I asked for an application and returned it today. I got a call back for an interview tomorrow and i am completely ecstatic! Hopefully I will be employed soon!

Donnie and i went and saw Avatar tonight and it was amazing!!! It was nice to have a relaxing evening at the movies and just have a date night together. While we were at the movies we saw a poster of Percy Jackson, the movie Donnie had been working on, and we had to get a picture of him standing by it! He was so excited! It was great to see him light up like that.

I cant believe this Saturday we will have been married 1 month! Its amazing! We are going to celebrate by having dinner at Olive Garden and maybe going to the mall, we need dish towels =]

We did lots of wedding shopping to get everything prepared and finally the wedding day was here! We had a perfect wedding and it couldnt have been more beautiful!!! It all went by so fast. Months and months of planning and within 20 minutes the ceremony is over, its kind of a bummer but i am now Mrs.Strubler and i couldnt be happier. We are now in the beautiful California and we are definitely enjoying the much antisapated time together. We are so happy just to be with each other after all this time. I will post more pictures of the wedding soon and of California but for now we are off to get laundry detergant, laundry has doubled now. =]

donnie will be here in 13 hours! i cant wait! 6 and a half months have gone by without seeing each other and i am so excited to be reunited with him! this week in rock hill has gone by so fast and now this day is finally here! tomorrow after donnie gets here we are going straight to the court house to get the marriage license then we are having dinner at donnies sister and watching a couple of movies. it will be a good night to just sit back and relax. wednesday is going to be pretty busy for us though, we are going christmas and wedding shopping and then going to sam's for food shopping. which sams, the day before xmas eve, is going to be a madhouse i'm sure. but it will all be worth it cause we only have 4 days until we are married!!!

a week before the wedding and i feel like i am at the last minute trying to get things done. since christmas is friday a lot of places are going to be closing a few days early. i need to get my dress steamed and my moms. i need to get the rest of the plates and napkins and gifts. i need to get to the church and pay them and get to sam's to get the food. and the list goes on and on haha. but it all is going to be fine because we will be married! thats the best thing!

time is flying by fast, but not nearly fast enough! the 26th is only 8 days away but time is moving by slower than molasses in a snow storm! i know once donnie gets here the time will start moving though. the stress levels are getting high though, thats for sure. we still have NO idea what food we are serving or what we are putting on the tables, but we will figure it all out. i am going to a late lunch with my sister which will be nice. last night i went to dinner with donnie's mom and sister and we had a great time. i am so ready for the wedding craziness to be over with hahaha and then donnie and i can get our lives started!

The bridal shower my maid and matrons of honor had for me was wonderful. it was nice to have my friends and family there to celebrate such a wonderful time. Donnie and i got some great accessories for the kitchen and dishes and such! we are very excited. Donnie will be here in 9 days, i am so anxious to see him. it has been exactly 6 months today since we have been together. we only have 13 days until the wedding! i cant believe it is almost here. the panic is setting in and i feel like we have so much to do, but i know everything will get done. and most of all donnie and i will be married at the end of the day and that is all that matters.

my dad, i dont even know how to start this blog entry. i am going to miss him so much after i have left home. i know this is hard on my dad to see me grow up, get married, and move away, all in what seems like to him a blink of an eye. i know my dad will be sad for a while but after time i know it will get easier. i am honored to have him walk me down the isle and have him give me away. i know he trust donnie and knows that donnie will take care of me and he has comfort in that. which makes me feel better that we have his blessing. it will be hard to leave him in the airport but i know we will be strong and i know he knows that i wont be gone forever and we will be home for a visit before he knows it.

Well moving day is tomorrow. we have the car mostly packed up with the exception of my computer and a few small things. i cant believe it has all gone by so fast. my room is completely bare and it is weird. no more posters on the wall, no pictures up, just my modern style lamps and my calender on the wall. i am excited though to start this new chapter in my life with donnie. i know we will learn more about each other within the first month of our marriage than we have in our four years of being together. i am really looking forward to the long distance being over and being able to have actual date nights =)

Well today i spent the day playing with my hair to see the best way to have it for the wedding. Hannah spent so much time curling it only to have the curls fall out 30 minutes later, which means lots and lots of products in my hair. I am heading to Rock Hill on Wednesday night for my bridal shower and i will be there from then until the wedding. i am very excited. Sunny and Erin are going to play around with my hair and make up so we wont be experimenting the morning of the wedding haha. We only have 3 weeks until the wedding and even less than that until Donnie comes home. I am so excited to see him, it has been 6 months, but it was worth it to be able to spend the rest of my life with him =)

Well the wedding is in less than four weeks and we are picking out music for the reception right now, and imaging how our first dance is going to be. Donnie is so sweet. He knows just the words to say when i am stressed out. Well the wedding is coming up close now, less than two months to go. Donnie is going to work on getting the invitations printed out this weekend and sent out within the next week. I ordered my flowers today, and surprisingly they were pretty inexpensive. I am going home next week to get my dress altered and pressed. I have also gotten most of the decorations for the tables. I am so anxious for the next few weeks to go by!! I know they are going to drag on though haha. Well we only have 67 days left!!! We are so excited. Here is a picture of the sanctuary at First ARP Church *where Donnie and I met* and where the ceremony will be held. I have to get the pictures from my sister of the fellowship hall to put those on here as well. There is lots left to do but we have gotten the bulk of things out of the way. Im sure tonight Donnie and I will go over a few things like who will walk out with who and things like that. Well this week has been extremely up and down. I have been ok with the fact of moving and leaving home but today it hit me hard again. Donnie got the staff position at LUMA! He found out today! I am so proud of him!! And what a perfect day because today is the day that the first movie he worked on came out Fame! I am so excited for him! Donnie heard back from the photographer today and i might be able to get my bridal portrait done by her. Donnie is very hyper tonight. I know it because he is very relieved to know that he will be able to keep his job at LUMA. He deserves it with all of his hard work! Only 91 more days!!

Today has been great. I talked to Donnie's mom for a bit and we just discussed the move and other wedding stuff. We are going to be buying our plane tickets soon so they dont get too expensive. We only have 99 days left! We are so excited!!! It is going by so fast i cant believe it! We still have plenty to do though. It is amazing to think that just a few years ago Donnie and i were on a church bus on our way to the Appalachian Mountains for a Christmas mission trip and now we are getting married. Through all the distance and changes our love made it through and now we are going to spend the rest of our lives together. Well...everything is set in stone and will not be changing again! Donnie and I are getting married a little coffee shop in downtown Rock Hill called Augello's! We are very excited! It is the cutest little shop and has a beautiful courtyard outside. I went to Rock Hill last weekend and went shopping for my wedding dress with my sweet mother and sisters and Donnie's sweet mother Leah and my sweet best friend Marlie *who is also Donnie's sister* I bought my wedding dress at a little store in Rock Hill and got my beautiful wedding dress for 70% off! I was very excited for such a beautiful gown for so cheap! I am very excited for Donnie to see me in it on our big day! Donnie is still working on getting us a photographer for the wedding, but they are very expensive. But we will find something. But so far everything is great! And it is really nice to have the big things out of the way!

Well, i dont know what i put in here on my last post, but we got the art center and we are now starting to figure out our budget and get things paid for. the first thing so far that we have gotten for our wedding is our bubbles! ;-) i got them off ebay for a little over $13. i was very excited! i cant wait to get them. im sure ill get them wednesday on my birthday haha. donnie has sent me a package for my birthday and i am very anxious to get it. it has been a pretty busy last few days. i have just been going over and over our budget to be sure we have all of the expences on our list just so we will be prepared for everything. i am so ready for december. but i KNOW we wont be moving it up any further than that haha. i am ready to be Donnie's wife though! it will be nice to be able to wake up and have him there to give me a hug in the mornings before work.

well donnie and i are hopeful now that the art council is open on december 26 for the wedding, donnie had forgotten about this place until today, and its closer, nicer and more affordable than the other place we were looking at in charlotte. i posted some pictures of the place. i really like it, the girl i talked to today at the gallery was really nice. hopefully we will hear something back soon and know whether we got the place or not. right now donnie and i are watching the big bang theory together via webcam right now. it is really nice that we can do that. i miss him but i am excited for the next few months. i know they will fly by, and it will be december before we know it.

Donnie and i are having a hard time figuring out a place to get married.
There is a lot to think about and figure out. And i go FULL FORCE when i know that something great is coming, and i feel like the sooner i get it done, the sooner that time will be here. Donnie thinks that i want to have the entire wedding done by the end of the week or night, but i dont. Im just excited, im a girl. i am ready to put on that white dress and walk down the isle to him, and him never forget the way i looked. he is the perfect man, and i am just so anxious to be his wife i want to figure things out. and get them done. i dont want to be rushing at the last minute. he is busy a lot and i understand that, and so am i. it is just a lot different on the bride-to-be's point of view. he doesnt think we will find a place that we both like, but i know we will, we just have to look the places up together, and just do it! wedding planning is stressful. i am exhausted. i am so happy that we moved the date up 4 months, but i think in doing so, i am going to drive him crazy for the next few months. as sarah mclachlan so wisely said, "it'll all be worth it, worth it in the end..."

Well.....Donnie and i have done some talking and we have decided to PUSH THE WEDDING TO DECEMBER!!!! We are so excited! We both decided that April is too far away and we both want to get married at Christmas. We are still working on a location for the ceremony but we have decided to have the reception at Donnie's parents home, which will be beautiful!! They have the perfect place for that! We also need to figure out who can marry us, since it is right after Christmas im sure Bryan wont be able to, because of the holidays but we can figure that out later. For now i am just so happy that we are getting married soon, and we will be together!

im still on the hunt for a dress. i am going to rock hill in two weeks so hopefully i will find something then, once i get my dress im sure i will not be as stressed with everything else. im going to keep my fingers crossed that this time when i go that they will actually HAVE the dress unlike last time when i found my dream dress and it had been discontinued!! My goodness what a nightmare!!!

We both still want the wedding on the beach even though it is a a couple hours away. we want this day to be special and make it as memorable as possible. and we have a lot of fond memories at Surfside Beach.

Donnie finally got the internet!!! i am so glad. we got to webcam last night and it has been so long since i have seen him!! it was really nice!!! i was really worried he wasnt going to be able to get it, but he got things figured out! he should be getting home shortly so i will get to see him again tonight!!! my parents are going to get a webcam before i leave so they will be able to see donnie and i when we are in california. which will be nice!!! i will miss them a lot! anyway, i better fix my hair a little before i see donnie ;-)

it has been a hard few weeks for donnie and me. it has been hard to not be with each other and not see each other, and tonight i just kind of cracked. i miss him so much and i am really glad that he is strong enough for the both of us. i am way more busy than before so i feel like our time is cut short because of BOTH of our busy schedules. but i know things will get better. i am ready to be able to come home after work and SEE him and BE with him. we dont argue like this when we are together. most of the things that we argue about are due to the fact that we are not together, so i know things will be better for us come april. bryan suggested we do pre-marital counciling which is a good idea, but since we are in VA and CA we are just going to go through some books. Bryan said the LOVE DARE was a good place to start but he has another suggestion as well. we are pretty sure that bryan is going to be able to marry us and i am very excited. it is nice to have some wedding plans coming together. only a few more things to do for right now, and then i wont have anything to do until christmas! i am very happy about everything in my life right now, and i hope donnie knows that he is every bit to thank for that.

Here is an idea i like for our chairs at our reception. I have a lot of ideas for table decorations. Hard Rock is providing red candles for us which is great. We will have to get our own linens but it wont be too expensive. Anyway i will post later about all my ideas. I have to get cleaning. well after weeks for working out and trying to get in shape, i am starting to feel and see the results. it is so encouraging when you can tell that you have lost weight and you know that you did from your own hard work. i have been working out at the gym at my work every evening when i get get off of work. since i am already up and the equipment is there, i might as well. Donnie and i have gotten everything squared away with the reception. now we just have everything else ha, but it all can be done later. donnie is finally all moved in, jared is staying with him this week until he finds a place. i am glad he has someone there with him to hang out with. i cant wait to get there. i am so anxious. i havent seen him in over a month and i miss him so much.

Donnie's mom told me about these amazing videos for walking at home, so when Donnie and i went to Best Buy after a lovely lunch with his grandparents a few weeks ago i bought a video!
I have the 4 Fast Miles video and let me tell you does that video make me sweat!! I try to do her video at least once a day and if not two, but sometimes i switch it up and do her video and then a yoga strength video i have. i feel so much better now that i have been working out. and not to mention i am going to feel much better in my dress when april rolls around! Well i guess im off to target then to WALK with Leslie again when i get back :)

well i quit my job at sub station after 4 years!! and let me tell you i have never felt better!!! i started my job at dish network in christiansburg yesterday. it was really cool. i learned a lot of stuff and i cant wait until tuesday when we start the training for taking calls and such. the building is huge and there is so many people that work there. i dont miss working at sub station at all. i miss a few co-workers but not the job itself. i am glad i have a more "adult" job, and not to mention the pay is WAY better!!! =)

Well Donnie got the place!!! I am so excited! He said he should be able to move in this weekend or at the first of the week! Here is the Kitchen of the house Donnie and i are looking at renting. Of course he will be in it before me, but it is gorgeous. it has a full kitchen, living room, fireplace, patio, big backyard, tiled bathroom and tiled floor throughout the entire house! It is amazing!! He is faxing the signed lease tomorrow so hopefully we will here something back soon!! I am so excited, this place looks amazing! Donnie really has had the best luck with his job and living arrangements! He is really enjoying his job, and has started working on his first movie shot for the movie FAME. it comes out September 25. I had a friend that said they would do it but, however he bumped the price up $1000 more than what he had previously told me, so we are going to find someone

He is having a meeting with the people from the apartment tomorrow. I am anxious to hear what they say. Donnie's first day at work was good. I think it is going to be really nice. We also changed the time of the wedding, it will now be at 10am on March 6th. That way people will be able to leave the beach in the afternoon rather than having to drive at night. We still have lots of time to figure everything out so we are just taking it one day at a time.

Here is a picture of a kitchen of one of the many apartments that Donnie has been looking at in Venice. I am excited to see pictures of the one he chooses for us. I think it is going to be such a fun adventure living in a small apartment in an awesome town for the first couple years of our marriage. I haven't even visited Venice yet and i already love it. I am so anxious to see pictures from all the other apartments he is looking at. Hopefully he will find THE ONE and sign on it and can get moved in and settled soon. I miss him so much!

David's Bridal Trip 1

Well, today my Mom and I took our first trip to David's Bridal to narrow down the selection of dresses that i liked. After trying on about 30 very differently styled dresses i found one that i fell completely in love with. And it is totally different from what i thought i would like. So when i go to Rock Hill next and have all my women with me i will try on "THE" dress and a few others to get there opinions on them because that is very important to me. i also found a different bridesmaid dress and it is WAY cheaper so that is always a plus! Well im off to workout now to feel even more beautiful in my dress!

Here is LUMA where Donnie will be working in California. i can just see him now on his longboard riding down the sidewalk! I am so excited to hear about his first day!!! He is going to do great!!
